 The ritual that I'm going to be talking about is one that is very special and important to me. My ritual is on Christmas with all my siblings and we perform " All I Want for Christmas Is You" by Mariah Carey. This tradition started when I was younger because I used to love to sing all the time. When everyone was over at my grandparent's house, I was doing something for people to watch. I first started doing the song by myself but eventually made my brother perform it with me. Then our other siblings began to join us as they got older.    Music and Gender      In the genre that I am going to talk about, there is definitely a distinct line that separates men's and women's expectations in Hip Hop/R&B. I see a lot of the mistreatment displayed on social media. Many women rappers/artists get their information posted a lot and the comments will be hating on them or trying to drag them down. When a male artist gets posted for something around the same lines then that comment section is totally different. An artist that goes by the Name of Sexy Red is a big controversial artist. On a side note, I am not the biggest fan of hers but I do like some of her music.
